Hi,

We recently encountered a data file corruption on key files. This was causing our app to fail.

Does anyone in the forum have knowledge of any tools that will send email alerts once a new entry is logged into the

\\U2\\unidata\\bin\\udt.errlog.

Thanks in advance for recommendations.

Darren,

If it's Windows then use a Powershell script to monitor the file size for growth using Windows Task Scheduler to control the frequency of checks. Plenty of Powershell examples for this in the web, For Unix  you can achieve the same with a shell script and cron.

You could send an email or TXT message, or alternatively generate a console popup (e.g. A WIndows applet or 'wall').
