Hello

I was reviewing the CREATE.FILE program in the UV account's BP library yesterday and discovered it supports a few keywords that are not documented:

UNIQUE, NUMERIC and SQLITYP

Does anyone know what these keywords do to the created index, or under what context they could/should be used?

Thanks

The INDICES()  function result does include a field for UNIQUE (value 8 being "N" or "U").

There appears to be no programmatic reporting of the impact of the other 2 keywords.

Hi Gregor,

The UNIQUE keyword is documented with the SQL CREATE INDEX command when creating an index on a SQL table. And while I don't know for sure, I'm guessing the other two keywords are passed to CREATE.INDEX depending on the characteristics of the column name specified in the CREATE INDEX command. The keywords all appear to be related to indexes on SQL tables. I have little experience with using SQL tables so others may have more detail.

Thanks,

Neil
