Continuing on my search for more information about some of the uvconfig settings and their possible real-world tuning outcomes...

The OPTMEM setting reads as an important option that could contribute to the performance of all RetrieVe commands.

The uvconfig section reads as:

# OPTMEM - This is the amount of memory allocated
# for the query optimizer's workspace. It is
# specified in 1K units (1024 bytes).
OPTMEM 64

Has anyone ever changed this setting?
If so, what setting was used and what impact does/did it have?

Thanks

UV 11.3 did change the default value for OPTMEM from 64 to 256, so there must be some value in having a larger workspace.
Has anyone gone beyond 256 as a setting, I wonder?
