Hi

We have some clients that are using universe version 11.3.1. This release comes with Python 3.4 and we're having some trouble adapting our Python code so it can work properly in several platoforms.

Is there a way to safely upgrade the Python version other than updating the whole Universe installation?

Hector,

This is covered in the U2 Python user guide section of the UniVerse documentation set by means of the .pyconfig file in the main. This can be downloaded from https://rbc.rocketsoftware.com/ under Resources -> Product Availability -> (choose UniVerse  and platform). Look under the 'Doc' links.

Regards

JJ.

Hector,

While it is possible to replace the version of Python that is shipped with UniVerse, it would still need to be the same minor version.  I.E. 3.4.x

Note that starting with UniVerse 14.1.1, the version of Python that comes bundled with UniVerse is 3.11
