No clue what this means. The DSN has the ODBC data source name, and that data source does pass the connection tests successfully. What am I missing?
I'm attempting to setup EDA on a UV 10.2 system. I have setup an ODBC data source that is able to connect to SQL Server without any difficulty. So now I'm in the EDA Schema Manager and attempting to setup the EDA Data Source with the same credentials that worked in the ODBC connection manager. And I'm getting this error when clicking on the "Test" button:
![]()

It would be useful to know the UniVerse exact version and platform (these will be in the 'port.note' file). As a start I would suggest using the CONNECT command at TCL before using EDA to verify the DSN is usable and using SQL Server authentication to connect and a System DSN. Also, with such an old version you may have problems connecting to current SQL Server versions The last 10.2 version was released in 2008 (Windows 2008 SP1) and eventually went EOL in 2017. It will not have been certified with any current Windows or SQL Server versions.
While the image on the original post cant be seen here, it is worth checking for any text messages displayed in the Rocket Knowledge Base in the Community Portal. There are a number of helpful posts (many from Paul) on connectivity issue that might be of help. e.g. Data-source-name-not-found-and-no-default-driver-specified
I would most strongly recommend an upgrade - whatever the case. If detailed assistance is needed it would be worth opening a case with Technical Support. As an additional note, it is worth using the latest U2 DBTools (v4.4.1) which are available from https://rbc.rocketsoftware.com under Resources -> Product Availability.

This could definitely stand a better error message.
