After Vertica 12

Currently vertica 12.0.2 is released last week. After 12.1.x releases, 13.0 gets released and so on..

Based on confluence I see that 12.0.3 is planned next..

What’s the date the next version is available? we are looking at dates to plan for version upgrade to be always in supported mode. If vertica 12 is ou of support after 31-Jul-2024 which other versions can we go to and till when something like . Product lifecycle matrix which will help us plan better

12.0.2 got released last week. The below link is not updated yet. 12.0.3 will be next release.. but will take couple of months since 12.0.2 got released just last week.

thanks SruthiA , approx vertica 13 release fall 2023? we are looking for supported version post July 24.

12.0.2 is EOL 31 Jul 2024 .please provide details on versions after that. we typically plan 1 year in advance so asking

I cannot share the ETA. But will update you when it is released.

This is a question for David S. Two questions:

• Will support continue for 18 months after the final 12.x release? This was the case for 11.x, which means July '24 is not the end date.
• How will product lifecycle and support change under OpenText? This will affect everything beyond March 2023.

also since vertica 11.1.1 support EOL is 31 May 2024 looking at upgrade to vertica 13 (since vertica 12 buys us only 2months lifecycle)

Please wait for the release of 12.1 which should be in few months.. its EOL will be more than May 2024.

12.1 has not been released. Not sure if we are going to do a 12.1 or 13.0. Both considered major releases and will have the standard 2 year life. The product group is now responsible for the numbering of releases. We should check in with that team for next number.
