Alerting to Slack or PagerDuty

Hi, do we have any advice or best practices around connecting Vertica alerts (or SNMP, etc.) into Slack and PagerDuty? I believe both of these offer JSON, text, XML gateway plugins but do we have a connection guide to get e.g. node down or CPU/memory limit exceeded from Vertica to comms platform like Slack or PagerDuty? Thanks!
