Customer wants to have complete encryption at rest in their Eon cluster. Does anyone have customers encrypting both the S3 bucket and Depot (EBS volumes)? Curious whether performance degradation has been noticeable. I assume data has to be decrypted when leaving S3 and then re-encrypted as it lands on the depot. Please let me know if you have any experience with this configuration.

+1Encountered this stuff on a POC last year. Find my post about Redshift in here for some discussion on that (which I mostly posted just for posterity). It was a pain to get working, but I can't speak much towards the performance aspects of it. But I don't think they encrypted the EBS volumes. But the s3 bucket was.
