Backup single Node and restore to Multi Node

It is not possible to restore a single node backup to multi node cluster. Please review the requirements in the below link.

What about if i restore it to a single node and add other nodes to it?
Ps: i have an unexpandable single node (it was installed with 127.0.0.1 ip address not hostname), So i want to build a new multi node with its data.

restoring backup to single node and adding other nodes should work.
