Hi, It's good to know that there is some tool which provide support to transfer DB schema from Oracle to Vertica. Can anyone share some details about BryteFlow CDC mentioned in the above post. Thanks Swapna Note: This topic was created from a reply on the Does anyone know how to Data Transfer from Oracle to Vertica? topic.

Hi, The BryteFlow product works especially well for Vertica. Here are the links to the BryteFlow Change Data Capture and Data Replication products for transfer of data from Oracle to Vertica http://www.bryte.com.au/products/bryteflow-change-data-capture/ http://www.bryte.com.au/products/bryteflow-data-replication/ Hope this helps.

What about DDL support in Bryteflow? Doest it replicate and convert DDL from Oracle source to Vertica target?

Didn't find any information about DDL on Bryteflow web site.

Should be suplemental logging turned on in Oracle before CDC?

Hi FiliN

Yes, BryteFlowCDC will replicate DDL automatically from Oracle into Vertica and supplemental logging has to be turned on in the Oracle server.

Feel free to contact Bryte support for more information: support@bryte.com.au
