Hi, I have a customer who wants to use a function similar to dblink to share data between two clusters. They are asking whether the two clusters could both access the same Parquet external table assuming the files are read-only. Is this possible if the files never change? How about if another process appends data, or overwrites the entire fileset?

we don't have dblink and when using external table the table data is temporarily loaded each session the sql for external table is referenced.
If the Q is for same files used as source data for 2 clusters .. yes
If a process overwrites the entire set of source files it will change in the next select.
