I just did a "yum update" on my CentOS 7.6 systems - now officially supported by Vertica 9.2 according to docs - but my systems are now CentOS 7.7! So my question is: should we assume 7.7 is OK, or should we tell customers to avoid yum update (before or after vertica install) until somebody internally validates and we officially announce 7.7 support?

Hmm, I had not even noticed that my system rolled to "CentOS Linux release 7.7.1908 (Core)" until I read this and ran "cat /etc/redhat-release"! However, unlike most customers, I tend to run yum update weekly to keep up, so we will probably have to wait for either QA testing or customer reports before we say much official. Still, minor releases of CentOS have been pretty stable lately so I don't see much reason for concern for dev/test/UAT at least.
I would hold off on CentOS 8.0 for a bit though!
