We have Vertica cluster setup on AWS and didn't have intra cluster communication setup still now. But, now that we have added proper security groups and opened the right ports, we would like to see if Vertica cluster nodes are able to communicate. Is there a way to check this? A utility or a mechanism? Thanks!

Yes there is  use the vnetperf  .The vnetperf utility allows you to measure the network performance of your hosts. It can measure network latency and the throughput for both the TCP and UDP protocols.

Also if this tool will work then it means that your nodes can comunicate with each other and the install can continue.
