Hi team,

A requirement of upcoming PoC on Feb is Hadoop integration. The prospect’s Hadoop infrastructure is Cloudera 5.15. However, Vertica 9.2 document mentions that latest tested version of Cloudera is 5.14.

I think few issue may exist but would like to know in detail if anyone has experience on this.

Thanks!

Hi Ken,

I am currently running performance benchmarks on CDH 6.0 and Vertica 9.2 and haven't come across any issues that are specific for CDH versions above 5.14. You may refer existing JIRAs as well.

I am based out of Cambridge, MA and I support all POCs on Hadoop integration with Vertica. Please feel to email me in case you come across any questions/challenges with respect to Hadoop integration and will be happy to help

Good luck,

Hi Mohan,

The PoC will start during mid-Feb, maybe 14th and the main competitor will be IBM IIAS.

Will reach out for help needed. Thanks!

Ken
