Hi there, I'm currently trying to use VerticaPy using a python script on my Windows host machine with Vertica Community Edition on VMWare. I'm having no luck with connecting to it though. Are there any particular settings that need to be turned off on VMWare to enable me to do this?

Thanks!

VMware networking needs to be available from the host, either bridged or NAT mode. Make a note of the IP address reported inside the VM and try to connect to that. Be sure you can SSH into the VM and that there is no firewall rule set blocking TCP port 5433 on the VM or host machine.

I completely agree with Bryan but remember to check for firewall as this set blocking TCP.
