create database on new port
How do I create a database using a port other than default port 5433. admintools create_db command doesn't provide option to specify the port number .

+2One option is create db on default port 5433, stop the db, modify port value in /opt/vertica/config/admintools.conf file manually in each node and restart the db via admintools. See if this helps.
+1Yes we can change the database port to whatever port you want to use even after creating a database. There are some files that needs to configured for it in every node of a cluster.
