Hi all :)

I freshly installed a Vertica 9.2 database on a Debian 10 server.
When i create the database i have some packages install errors but the process doesn't seem affected (please see below)

I don't have this problem under Ubuntu 18.04 but i chose Debian 10 for other reasons.

Thank you in advance :)

Try to run the admintools command install_package with the option --force-reinstall like shown here:
https://www.vertica.com/docs/9.2.x/HTML/Content/Authoring/InstallationGuide/Upgrade/PostUpgrade/UpgradingandReinstallingPackages.htm
But please note that currently Vertica (9.2.x) support Debian Linux versions 8.5, 8.9

Do i have to consider Ubuntu will be (is already ?) prefered to Debian ? :-/

@Steph : Please share us with the contents of /opt/vertica/log/admintools.log to see why installation of packages is failing.
