Does drop partition also drop delete vectors?

From a customer: When you run a delete on a table – delete vectors are created. Now when you drop partitions(say based on a particular date range) which involve the records that were deleted earlier, will the delete vectors be cleared from the database or will it still remain as delete vectors till it is purged out of the db?

    OK, answering my own question: a quick test shows that the delete vector and partition live in the same ROS container and are dropped together. I guess this could be an issue if ROS have not been merged e.g. when deleting rows added very recently, or possibly in the case of partition groups (hierarchical) where you need to unwind the group to delete the partitions / rows. Though of course all of this can be addressed by smart table and projection design!
