We just had a customer ask for a comparison of Hive LLAP versus Vertica. It looks like it's reletively new and beta but provides a lot of the same advantages as Vertica and competitors with better SQL support, persistent in-memory cache acceleration, etc. Anyone look into it yet? Is it even a real thing?
