How to avoid error "Unable to execute commands until the DataReader is closed" in ADO.NET Driver

Hi,
I am using an ADO.NET Vertica driver 9.2.1.2. Sometimes, during insert-statements I get an error "Unable to execute commands until the DataReader is closed". I read that this can in principle be circumvented by activating Multiple Active Result Sets (MARS). However, this only possible in jdbc driver it seems. Any idea for a workound?
