Hello team,
IHAC who needs to exchange data between 2 vertica clusters with different topology and on different data centers (15 & 20 nodes)
They would like to use CONNECT TO VERTICA + EXPORT TO VERTICA option BUT with SSL encryption for security reasons.
However, according to the documentation, they have to enable TLS on Spread and on Data channels on both source and target clusters as a prerequisite for CONNECT TO VERTICA to be secured.
Our main concerns are:
- stability (for the spread layer) , customer has had many issues with bugs related to spread in the past
- performance of user queries on those production clusters if tls is enabled
Does anyone have any benchmarks or feedback from customers who have enabled inter node tls?
