Kerberos best practices - dbadmin account and vbr

I have a customer moving several clusters to Kerberos authentication as required by parent company. They would like to know if it is recommended or even supported to enable Kerberos login for dbadmin. Also they would like to know how to run backups with vbr if they migrate their backup user account to Kerberos since vbr.ini only appears to allow password.
