I know that in Vertica 9.1 we have the new feature “BYODT - Bring Your Own Delegation Token”. This great for accessing Hadoop from Vertica.
However, I have a client that is having an issue with Kerberos Delegation from Tableau Server.
Basically, Tableau told our client that Vertica is not one of the supported databases for Kerberos delegation.

They are able to log into a Kerberized Vertica DB from a Tableau Server, but only using the service account that is logged into Windows. They want to pass real user names to the DB.
Curious if know of anyone knows of a work around for Vertica?
