Knowledge Document: Insufficient projections to answer query on Vertica

Environment:

Vertica analytics Database: v10.1.1-5

Situation:

Vertica create table statement is failing with below error,

ERROR: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: [Vertica][VJDBC](3586) ROLLBACK: Insufficient projections to answer query

Cause:

Create statement failed since multiple nodes were down on the Vertica cluster.
