Vertica Analytics Platform 24.4
Situation
One of our production node went down v_shr4_vrt_pro_005_node0011 at Sep 3 00:10:01 UTC 2025. Please review and share RCA for the same.
Resolution
Based on the vertica log, logging ended abruptly. as per messages file, CPU's were restarted. One possible reason is kernel got panicked. There aren't messages in the dmesg for the time 00:05:58.330 and 00:11:21. If there are deeper OS level logs, please check to see if kernel was hung with the help of your OS administrator.
