How does the Vertica sessions and transaction behave upon k8s termination i.e. vdb delete

Situation
When Vertica Database is terminated using the delete vdb command, does it perform a graceful shutdown of all nodes? Additionally what happens to the data written to the depot that has not yet been synchronized to the communal storage ? Assumption : Vertica is running with following config : Writes happen via depot.
