Situation
Confluent Cloud with the upcoming release, is deprecating the rdkafka version we have currently in use in our vkconfig (0.11.6). With this version of rdkafka, some API operations will be deprecated, in particular, it seems that vkconfig are using the commit_offset operation, which will no longer be supported by Confluent Cloud. The final term is february 2026, after that the API call will not be available anymore, and so it will fail.
