Licensing question: do external tables in AVRO format count into the V External Data AddOn capacity?

Hi forum,
I am getting this question from a V Express customer who is thinking about purchasing our V External Data Add-on: "Do external tables in AVRO format count into the V External Data Add-On capacity?"
The V Ala states (page 4): "The external data formats permitted are ORC & Parquet. External data in non-optimized formats, such as CSV, are not counted towards the per TB license."
Can you please advise ?
