no output at vertica.log
vertica.log was too large, so ran cat /dev/null > vertica.log to empty it. now nothing is output to this file, restart the database as well as the service don't help. does anyone know how to resolve this issue? thanks
i ran the command, and got -bash: kill: (5028) - No such process

Who owns the vertica.log file and what are the permissions of the file? A ls -ltr from the catalog directory will show this information.
