Hi Team,

One of our customer are looking to refresh their Vertica hardware (they are on-prem and on HPE hardware) and asked if there is any benefit to use NVMe or Optane storage. Does anyone has any experience with this?

I noticed that some of the AWS instance types we support have NVMe SSDs, so I am assuming it should be okay technically (?).

Are there any specific considerations/optmizations required from Vertica side?

Many thanks.

Many enterprise customers use these for some of their data, others use it for all. On AWS, these make great temp space or depot.
