Hi all ,

Is there any way to perform a preemptive failover on a standby node, instead of waiting for a node to be considered as "failed".

Regards
Bernard

According to the documents No, you cannot do this and will propagate with an error. https://my.vertica.com/docs/9.0.x/HTML/index.htm#Authoring/AdministratorsGuide/ManageNodes/ReplacingANodeUsingAHotStandbyNode.htm?TocPath=Administrator's%20Guide|Managing%20the%20Database|Managing%20Nodes|Active%20Standby%20Nodes|_____2

Bernard, have you had the opportunity to test these functions internally? Seems like an easy test.
