I have a question on VAdvisor dependency calculation: for the warning "V_ACTION: A node should be part of maximum of three dependencies..." if the graph and query seem right, is it necessary to run recompute_node_dependencies(); and what is the system impact? Customer is planning to add nodes and rebalance anyways so they want to know if there will be any benefit to fixing this now, or wait until they rebalance after adding nodes.

recompute_node_dependencies() API is not expensive and quick. It will just try to fix dependency map. It will not change projection design. I would run it now and see if it helps.

One follow-up question: customer submitted attached log file showing no change in the node dependencies bitmap from running this. I'm not familiar enough to say whether there is even an issue here. Does it look like there is any issue? If so, is it possible that the VAdvisor report flagged this incorrectly? Or, will any issue go away when they rebalance after adding 2 nodes in the very near future?

for the one listed as "00000111111 - cnt: 7"
ask customer to run SELECT GET_NODE_DEPENDENCIES('00000111111');
if these turn out to be libraries then we have recent post to fix the libraries.

I got a file back from the customer, complete SQL and result attached. It does appear to be libraries and DFS files, string tokenizer etc. but I can't get to the forum link you posted, it says I don't have permission. Can you post the fix for DFS files and ibraries here?
