the 9.2 documentation does not mention 6.10:

Versions 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, 6.9, 7.0, 7.3, 7.4, 7.5
does this mean anything or we just forgot to include?!
the client is using 6.10 and asking if this is supported!

Vertica recently improved and simplified the "supported" OS policy, to recommend the latest patched versions of popular OSs, such as RHEL 6.x, and RHEL 7.x.
