Can't restore data from backup 

1 RHEL 7 vertica 7.1.2 

2. UBUNTU 15.10 vertica 7.2.1

 

 /opt/vertica/bin/vbr.py -t restore  -c dbmain.ini

Starting full restore of database dbmain.

Participating nodes: v_dbmain_node0001.

Error: No restore points in backup location for snapshot dbmain.

Restore FAILED.

 

how to restore data from backup?

 Is the source and target db the same ? 

IP is the same ?

NodeName is the same ? 

DB name is the same ?

Directory paths are the same ?

Hi,

 

 Vertica supports restore actions only to the same exact version of Vertica that created the backup. Please visit the following URL for more information
