SSRS Connection Problem

Hi,

I did quick test with Microsoft report builder(15.0.19914.0V). I am able to connect to Vertica using Generic ODBC. I have created odbc DSN and connected to the microsoft report builder without any errors.

Can you check your installation is completely done and Hope you are using Generic ODBC DSN to connect. Let me know if you are able to connect it or not.

No, I'm not using ODBC DSN method. I installed Vertica driver on Report Server. I created a shared data source on the report server. I get an error when I want to connect to the shared resource I created from my local machine.

First.

I created a shared connection on Repor Server. Driver types Vertica.

Second

I tried to create Dataset from this shared connection.

Third

When I clicked the Create Button, Program crashed like this.

Can you please provide the more information like which version of SSRS, Vertica and Report Builder you are using.

If possible can you please step by step by process how you are trying to connect to Vertica?

1- v15.0.19914.0 - Report Builder Version
2- Vertica Analytic Database v11.1.1-9
3- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services - Version 13.0.6300.2

Step by step how ı can create?

1- I installed the Vertica driver on the machine where SSRS is installed.
2- I created Datasource in SSRS. I tested the connection. Connecting.
3- Then I installed Vertica Client Driver on my own machine.
4- I clicked Create a new dataset from Report Builder. Then when I select the Datasource I created in SSRS and want to connect, I get this error.
