While testing the Vertica 7 Community Edition I have it set up on 3 VMs on ESXi. it has occured that the IPs of two of these nodes have gotten changed. I have edited the admintools.conf and /etc/hosts files (not using spread), and also updated all SSH keys. However, the docs say that I need to "start a single node", then update an internal table. However, I cannot get anything to start - only get: "Unable to SSH as dbadmin to : Unexpected EOF" I have verified that from the command line all SSH connections work between the nodes, both as root and dbadmin, so I am guessing this is from within the DB itself that these IPs are coming from. how does one start a single node of a 3 node cluster?

Note, I did try the method to manually edit the control file(?) per the note at ( https://community.vertica.com/vertica/topics/single_node_cluster_change_node_ip_address-14fuee ), but that command does not seem to work on CE 7 - just get a infinite looping of "unable to contact mailbox"
