Hi guys!

I have a customer that has currently an Express Edition license and they are going to do some tests with the Premium Edition evaluation license. Once they do the tests they would like to downgrade to Express Edition till they decide.

So, if they have already an Express license, how is the upgrade about? Is it necessary to install a new rpm/deb or just to load the license file?

What about the downgrade to come back to Express in the same environment? Should they re-install anything or just to update the license file?

I know that with the Community Edition is different, but I am not sure about this Express/Premium changes.

Thanks!

Regards,
David.

Gracias! :-)

I knew about managing licenses with the admintools and uploading new licenses, but I wasn't sure about downgrading because when you do from the Premium to Community Edition it is not available by the Admintools, and a customer told me that once they needed to re-install the rpm.
My other concern was about the "packages" that are loaded when you create the DB. I suppose that if you do it with a Premium Edition and then downgrade, the package (let's say for example the ML package, that you cannot use with the Express Edition) is loaded but you cannot use the functions because the license file loaded doesn't give you those privileges, right?

Thanks!
David.
