Hi,

This is not recommended and is not straight forward.

Can you check what files are being written to the catalog directory? Is logrotate working properly for vertica.log?

Doc ref : https://my.vertica.com/docs/7.2.x/HTML/index.htm#Authoring/AdministratorsGuide/ManageDiskSpace/UnderstandingTheCatalogDirectory.htm

Regards

Gayatri

Normally yes . Mostly dataprotector directory and vertica.log occupy space .

There is no dataprotector, i guess you mean data collector.

 - Review your data collector policy see here how to deal with it step by step here:

http://wp.me/p5zzAw-Nt

- or change their location , see this article on how to do this step by step here:

at the end of the article.

I don`t recommend you alter your catalog location. just change the location for your DC and see the policy on those dc tables.

hope this helps

I think that you can also change the log rotation setting for vertica.log. You can refer to... https://my.vertica.com/docs/7.2.x/HTML/index.htm#Authoring/AdministratorsGuide/Monitoring/Vertica/RotatingLogFiles.htm
