what is the best way to find vertica.log file for database corruption

Vertica has a built in data integrity checker called the CRC (cyclic redundancy check). You can read more about this here in the doc:

If the CRC finds an issue, it will print out a message similar to what is outlined in the doc link below in the vertica.log file:
