vertica ip address change

There is no simple way to re-IP node.

You may use one of 2 supported procedures to achieve what you need.

In both cases you will be waiting for Vertica to copy data to new node

Possible option 1 is "Replacing a Failed Node Using a Node with a Different IP Address"

Possible option 2 is "Replacing a Functioning Node Using a Different Name and IP Address"

https://my.vertica.com/docs/7.2.x/HTML/index.htm#Authoring/AdministratorsGuide/ManageNodes/ReplacingAFunctioningNodeUsingADifferentNameAndIPAddress.htm%3FTocPath%3DAdministrator's%2520Guide%7CManaging%2520the%2520Database%7CManaging%2520Nodes%7CReplacing%2520Nodes%7C_____3

More radical solution could be "Copying the Database to Another Cluster"
