Vertica on azure

I have existing vertica 3 node internal environment where application users , vertica database and azure use same ip address. Currently we have had issue where many times waagent /omsagent runs has caused one node not responding to heartbeat and forcing shutdown. As per vertica SAAS offering on azure market place database uses private ip address/subnet and others use the public ip to connect . Will this approach help to reduce the failure due to node to node communication. Since the template is not available for redhat is there a way to configure such setup.?
