Vertica on Docker Hub

While not officially supported, I've seen a number of customers use the following for CI/CD and unit tests:

The current build is a bit older, but it would not be challenging to fork and make a current version using the v10 Community Edition RPM.

As of Vertica version 10.1.1, there will be an official Docker image tested internally and provided by Vertica on DockerHub and Github starting next week, I believe.

greetings @PaigeRoberts , can you mention some updates for docker-Vertica image, as you mentioned 28/04 for updates? will be glad for any updates, thanks in advance.

Looking forward to this. FYI for the impatient. I was able to use the docker-vertica-10 github with minor changes.

Both the 10.1.1 and 11.0.0 seem to be working, thank you. Is there any chance of getting an official 9.x container for the purposes of testing with Vertica prior to deprecation of WOS ?

@mark_d_drake : we started supporting containers for vertica official only starting version 10.1.
