a prospect has requested from us the details of our implementations with SAS MA.
the main problem is that SAS MA can't store the Common Data Model in Vertica because there is no interface for that on SAS side:

So, the only option remains the SQL pass through with SAS/Access to Vertica.
i.e. CDM is still in SAS and it somehow communicates w Vertica sending SQLto it and getting back the data sets.
Is this the right understanding of the situation?
What benefits do our clients get from Vertica+SAS MA solutions?
