What is the most you can jump between upgrade releases at once? can we go to latest from anywhere we stand currently? Can some dot releases be skipped and not others?

Upgrades are incremental. To upgrade successfully, use the following paths:
Vertica 7.0 to 7.1
Vertica 7.1 to 7.2
Vertica 7.2 to 8.0
