Hi,
I am facing the logs below in one of a site.

Aug 27 15:20:31 [Kafka Hostname] kafka-server[2812]: [2019-08-27 15:20:31,536] WARN Attempting to send response via channel for which there is no open connection, connection id **[KafkaIp]:[KafkaPort]-[VerticaIp]:-405219 (kafka.network.Processor)
Aug 27 15:20:51 [Kafka Hostname] kafka-server[2812]: [2019-08-27 15:20:51,554] WARN Attempting to send response via channel for which there is no open connection, connection id **[KafkaIp]:[KafkaPort]-[VerticaIp]:-405221 (kafka.network.Processor)
Aug 27 15:21:31 [Kafka Hostname] kafka-server[2812]: [2019-08-27 15:21:31,600] WARN Attempting to send response via channel for which there is no open connection, connection id **[KafkaIp]:[KafkaPort]-[VerticaIp]:-405225 (kafka.network.Processor)

Can anyone tell what does this mean?
Also, is there a way to list the properties set on vkconfig?

Regards,
Ken

You might need to open up the Kafka ports in your firewall settings.

Hi Curtis,
Kafka is performing well at this moment and the time this warning message is shown is when there is no data to consume from Vertica.
