vnetperf on AWS

vnetperf uses the following ports
--ports port1,port2,port3 The three port numbers to use: if only one is specifed, the next two numbers in sequence are assumed (default=14159,14160,14161)

can you check your security groups to ensure they are open.

alternatively, if vertica is not running use vertica ports like 5433, 5434 and 4803 using the --ports argument. (that way you dont have to open additional ports)
