What kinds of data does HP Vertica Place support?

HP Vertica Place has a loader for ingesting ESRI shapefiles and storing the corresponding geometries and attributes into Vertica. Also, HP Vertica Place recognizes both Well-Known Text and Well-Known Binary representations of spatial data and includes functions to convert these representations into Geometry and Geography data types for use in Vertica.
