We are working on a production deployment of Micro Focus Operations Bridge Collect Once Store Once (COSO) that includes Verticqa back-end. Currently all production storage in the environment is on NFS. Installation of COSO is on VMWare and the NFS is seen as EXT3 or EXT4 (not sure which) file systems to the local VM. According to Vertica documentation, NFS is not supported except with MapR. However, the “Vertica in a Virtualized Environment” documentation makes no mention of any storage restrictions.
The question is: Will a COSO deployment in a VMWare environment that utilizes NFS on the backend storage for Vertica work?
