The BANKDEMO tutorial is an Enterprise Developer tutorial. If you have installed Visual COBOL rather than Enterprise Developer the functionality required for it to run is not present so it will not work. If you want to try it you will therefore need to install Enterprise Developer.

You can try calling your local Micro Focus sales representative and request an evaluation copy of Enterprise Developer through them. It may be quicker that way.
