Hello, can you help me with the following problem? We have an old client / server application using C / S Binding technology (client=Windows, server=linux or windows). We use Net Express and Server Express for development. Now we want to migrate to the Visual Cobol 5.0.
What tools do you recommend? Is Visual Cobol Development Hub 5.0  a standalone product or I need to have a Visual Cobol 5.0 for Visual Studio 2017 or for Eclips? Is C/S Binding technology a part of mentioned products? If not,  is it available for free download or is it necessary to buy it?

Thank you for your answers, Petr

Apologies for the very late reply - I just came across this message. Have you received a response to your question?

Client/Server Binding is available for Visual COBOL as an add-on you can download for no additional cost. Micro Focus Customer Care can get you the download location for your version of Visual COBOL.

While C/S Binding is no longer included with the product, it is still supported. For the longer term we recommend considering moving to a service-oriented architecture using web services, as that is the de facto industry standard direction.
